Acceptance of terms

By installing or using PromptDock ("the Extension"), you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, uninstall the extension and stop using it.

What PromptDock is

PromptDock is a free Chrome extension that lets you save, organise, and quickly insert text prompts on supported AI chat sites. It is developed and maintained by a solo developer based in the United Kingdom.

Your content

You own everything you create with PromptDock. Your prompts, folders, tags, and any other content you enter belong entirely to you. PromptDock does not claim any rights over your content. Since all data is stored locally on your device, the developer never has access to it.

Acceptable use

You agree to use PromptDock in compliance with all applicable laws. You may not:

Reverse-engineer, decompile, or modify the extension for redistribution.
Use the extension in any way that violates the terms of service of the sites it operates on (Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini).
Misrepresent the extension as your own product.

Pricing

PromptDock is free. There are no premium tiers, subscriptions, or usage limits. An optional tip jar exists to support development but is never required and grants no additional features.

No warranty

PromptDock is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranty of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

The developer does not guarantee that the extension will be error-free, uninterrupted, or compatible with future browser updates.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the developer shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising from your use of or inability to use PromptDock.

Since all data is stored locally, you are responsible for backing up your prompts. The developer is not liable for data loss caused by browser updates, extension removal, or device failure.

Third-party sites

PromptDock interacts with third-party websites (Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini). The developer is not responsible for the availability, terms, or behaviour of these sites. Changes to these sites may affect the extension's functionality.

Termination

You can stop using PromptDock at any time by uninstalling the extension. The developer reserves the right to discontinue the extension at any time without notice.

Changes to these terms

These terms may be updated from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a new date. Continued use of the extension after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
