Chrome extension · Free forever

Your best prompts, one slash away.

PromptDock saves every prompt you write, and brings them back with a single / on Claude, ChatGPT and Gemini. No accounts. No cloud. Free forever. Coffee tips welcome, never required.

How it actually works.

Three steps. No login, no syncing, no copy-paste.

Save a prompt

Click the toolbar icon and write your prompt once. Add {variables} for the bits you change each time.

Type / anywhere

On Claude, ChatGPT or Gemini, hit / to open the picker. Filter as you type. Enter to insert.

Fill the blanks

If your prompt has variables, you're asked for them inline. {date} and {time} fill themselves.

Small extension, big leverage.

Built for people who use AI all day. No bloat.

/

Slash-commands

Type /keyword and pick from a fuzzy list. Faster than scrolling through a sidebar.

📂

Folders & tags

Organise prompts by project, role, or vibe. Search across everything in one keystroke.

{ }

Variables

One prompt template, infinite uses. Fill placeholders inline when you insert.

Works everywhere

Claude.ai, ChatGPT and Gemini today. Notion, Linear and your inbox on the roadmap.

🔒

Local-only

Your prompts live on your machine. We can't see them. There's no server to hack.

Export anytime

One-click JSON export. Move to another machine, share with a friend, or just back up.

Honestly, it's just free.

PromptDock is free with no account, no cloud, no limits. If it saves you time and you want to send a coffee, the link's in the extension settings, but it's never required.

The "Get the extension" link will point at the Chrome Web Store listing as soon as it's approved.

Honest questions.

Where are my prompts stored?

Only on your device, in Chrome's local storage. PromptDock has no server-side database for your prompts. If you uninstall Chrome or clear the extension's data, they're gone, so use the Export button now and then.

What's the difference between free and Pro?

There isn't one. PromptDock is fully free with no limits and no account. There's an optional tip jar if you want to support development.

Does it work on multiple computers?

Yes, install it on as many Chrome profiles as you like. Your prompts are stored locally on each device. Use the Export button to copy them between machines.

Does it work on Firefox or Edge?

Chrome and Chromium browsers (Edge, Brave, Arc, Opera) work today. A Firefox port is on the roadmap.

What sites does the slash-picker work on?

Claude.ai, ChatGPT (chatgpt.com and chat.openai.com) and Gemini. Notion, Linear, Slack and Gmail are queued for v0.2.

Is PromptDock really free?

Yes, completely. There are no premium tiers, no usage caps, no account walls. If you find it useful and want to support development, there's an optional coffee tip jar in the extension settings.

Who's behind PromptDock?

Built by a solo UK developer. You can reply to any email and you'll get me, not a support form.
